Karen is a problem solver who diligently advocates for her clients’ best interests. Her drive to become an attorney started with her passion for child welfare and child advocacy. Karen entered law school knowing she wanted to pursue Family Law and Juvenile Law to make the same positive impact on families and children in her community. As an intern with the local Guardian ad Litem program in college, she was impressed and inspired by the advocates, attorneys, and judges in the courtroom who improved the lives of at-risk children and families.
Karen is a direct advocate in the courtroom but also has experience in practicing collaborative negotiations, and mediation-centered processes to resolve matters outside of the courtroom. Karen’s work ethic, sense of responsibility, and personal integrity are assets that she brings to each of her clients’ matters. Karen has served as a Guardian ad Litem for Forsyth County, NC, since February of 2020, and has advocated for the placement, medical/therapeutic care, education, and adoption of children placed in foster care due to abuse or neglect.
Karen grew up in Chapel Hill, NC, attended Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, and has lived in Winston-Salem, NC since 2019.
She received her J.D. from Wake Forest University School of Law.
